Identity Refresh

In 2011, the Students’ Union made the decision to rebrand by introducing a new logo to better align with the rebranding of The Owl bar and to modernize an organization whose branding was 20 years old. The rebrand included a process to approve a new logo, the standardizing of colours, fonts, and design elements, and phasing out older material over time.

Since arriving at the Students’ Union in 2008, I have been actively developing the organization’s brand with the introduction of an easier to use URL (, new email addresses, and a consistent social media presence (all social media accounts share the same username: urstudentsunion). My goal here was to ensure all designs and considerations were made with accessibility and uniformity in mind.
